Each one of these brands have been created to answer the particular need of a certain group of travelers.
St. Regis: It specializes in luxury full-service hotels, resorts and residences. These hotels are made for the high-end leisure and business travelers who look for the best expression of luxury to receive the flawless and personalized service.
The Luxury Collection: It is a group of hotels and resorts offering outstanding service to elite clients. Located in historic, remote and modern structures, these hotels offer their guests unique, genuine and elevating experiences inspired from their unique locations still resonating luxury peculiar to their localities.
W: The concept of building these places have been to get inspired by the local influences to come up with the new design and create some invigorating space where daytime could be the time for work or play and evenings for mixing and mingling out.
Westin: It offers ground-breaking programs and instinctive services aimed at creating a revitalizing ambiance and experience. Exclusive dishes are served at its restaurants and top fitness studios are available for guests. Even the Bed and the Bath are devised in a way to create unique experience for its guests.
Le Méridien: Born in France, this brand has got around 100 hotels in 43 countries of the world. At these hotels, arts are integrated into the guests’ experience. Sheraton: This is the largest brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts serving the leisure and business travelers across the globe. Four Points: It is satisfactory to self-sufficient travelers by offering greater comfort and productivity. The guests are offered several small treats that keeps them happy while being away from home.
Aloft: From 2008 to 2012, it has opened 55 hotels with a particular concept of offering sassy, refreshing, ultra effortless alternative for both business and leisure travelers.
Element: This brand is inspired by Westin and promotes balance through a thoughtful, upscale environment. These hotels are all LEED certified as they care for environment. They are distinctly modern placing primary stress on nature.
Nature of Starwood’s Hotel Business Revenue
Starwood’s revenue is generated through hotel operation (management and other fees from the other hotels it manages) and the receipt of franchise rights and the operation of its own hotels. The main emphasis at Starwood hotels is on the global operation of hotels and resorts in luxury and upscale segment of lodging industry.
Their revenues and earnings are also earned from the development, ownership and operation of vacation ownership resorts, marketing and selling vacation ownership interests in the resorts and providing financing to customers who purchase such interests.
In addition to having, leasing, and managing approximately 1100 hotels and resorts all around the world, The company introduces Starwoods new hotels that have not opened yet will add approximately 300 to the previous list.
